Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening at Granny’s Dime White Settlement

Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting

There was an over whelming show of support that was evident by the packed house and a full parking lot at the grand opening and ribbon cutting for Granny’s Dime located at 822 S. Cherry Lane in White Settlement.

The friendly atmosphere and fun vibe made itself known, as people congregated in the aisles holding conversations with friends, as other people were browsing the booths and best of all, buying many of the unique items the shop has to offer.

The crowd of customers, vendors, family and friends gathered in front of the building as The White Settlement Area Chamber of Commerce along with White Settlement Mayor Ron White conducted the ribbon cutting ceremony just after noon last Saturday.

About the Store

Granny’s Dime is an eclectic mix of antique mall meets bohemian boutique.

They offer a number of different booth spaces, that local vendors rent on a monthly basis. Plus the vendors are not limited to just selling only vintage and antique goods like at most of the antique malls.

At Granny’s Dime you will find a wide array of merchandise that includes new items, handmade items, vintage and antiques or a mixture of all. It is the perfect place to find unique home decor, jewelry, fashions and much more.

If you are an independent rep. for one of the national companies that will not allow you to have a permanent booth space, Granny’s Dime has you covered as well. They offer day rentals in their event space section. So you can throw your next Tupperware or Avon party there.

Speaking of the event space, other local companies can take advantage of booking the event area for small meetings, customer apparition days or whatever else you can think of.

Supporting Other Smaller Local Businesses

Added benefits of supporting a local business like Granny’s Dime, is that they are hyper-local. When you shop at Granny’s Dime you are supporting several other smaller local businesses at the same time.

It is a place that gives people in the community an affordable outlet to start and grow their own businesses.

Businesses that hopefully in time and a little hard work will outgrow the limitations of a booth and in turn, will be able to open their own standalone shops. Which will not only provide a good living for themselves, but also provide employment for other people in the community too.

The more dollars that stay in our local community the better it is for the community at large.

Closing Thoughts

As we see more and more people moving into the area and new businesses popping up, Granny’s Dime is just another sign of the great things that have been happening in the west Fort Worth /White Settlement area. It is a business that compliments the other new businesses that we have welcomed to the area in the last couple of years or so.

We need to keep supporting our local businesses and keep our community thriving.
